The wave of Bern

Six different length wavy roofs connect on the west side of the Bern train station the tracks with a pedestrian crossing. Inspired by the surrounding mountains and the winding track curves, the architects built a distinctive wave smarch on the platforms. The roof of curved glulam beams with aluminum cladding was built in a record time of nine months and protect up to 50,000 passengers a day before bad weather.
