In Kaiserslautern, there is the "house of water". Besides the technical task of building (as it supplies water company the city of Kaiserslautern and the region with water) provides information on water in the house, its collection, processing and distribution. It also provides space for exhibitions, seminars and events.
2006-2008 between the Waterworks "Red Hollow" has been technically upgraded and expanded. In the course of the renovation of existing rooms were cleared free and be available. The architects were commissioned by the Technical works Kaiserslautern, to create a spatial concept. Essence of this concept is to set originally enclosed spaces in relationship. Movement flows are possible by breakthroughs in the vertical as in the horizontal.
