Wakuwaku

With the opening of the first branch of the restaurant chain wakuwaku in Hamburg is the company launched the self-proclaimed revolution of the fast food sector. The business philosophy relies on a consistently implemented sustainability concept and low-cost, healthy food that is cooked very quickly. The key issue of sustainability is being implemented on this non-dogmatic, creative and unconventional way. That is already the name of the chain: "Waku" is Japanese and means something like hot fried cooking, but also exciting or tense.
The restaurant is located in downtown Hamburg in the immediate vicinity of City Hall. The very narrow area extends almost 17 m in depth, while in the back half of a glass roof provides daylight. The space is divided into two main zones, the host range and the service area. For the latter order-counter, kitchen and Take-Away have been combined into a single unit that acts as a sculptural body, like a room within a room. Upon entering the restaurant, the guest first take on the face of this box. This is an intensive violet - the corporate color of wakuwaku - painted. Two digital menu boards, point to change the current supply and food photography.

To my knowledge it is not the first branch of the fast food chain but rather a model operation, planning, the operator should lead to a chain in accordance. The relevant reports and the frequency of new entries in the company blog, however, have declined significantly since its opening in November 2008, and the founders are dedicated to the hype even more again erfolgverheißenderen activities. The star shot is so long since died away, and maybe see those who like the interior design, the store rather quickly once before they could again stand before the closed doors.
Thanks for this info! I had assumed that this fast-food concept is successful. Then a quick trip to Hamburg ...
