The newly built parliament in Vaduz has a multi-stage history. After the building plan was rejected for a first contest, designed by architect Hans Jörg Göritz went into a second competition in 2000 resulted in victory in 2008 and could be inaugurated. The two new buildings of the country's Parliament - the "House" and the "Long House" - are at the foot of the Schlossberg at the seat of the regents and next to the headquarters of the Government of the Principality of Liechtenstein. Göritz interpreted the original development plan and created two new buildings that add value through their exceptional game, almost sacred forms Vaduz in terms of urban development and pass through the materiality standard and consistency in the exclusive use of exposed brick yellow ocher the viewer's attention. 680 000 cover specially made bricks from the garage up into the chambers walls and ceilings of the building. The warm light emanating from the brick surfaces, creates a special atmosphere in the interior and exterior of the building.
